CyberCash, which makes wallet software for online shopping, announced that in the fall of 1998, it would no longer use that huge software and instead applied a new technology called InstaBuy. This new technology enables customers to make continuous purchases in a multitude of online stores with a single click. The technology that lets online shoppers make purchases is based on the company’s Agile Wallet software. By applying InstaBuy technology, CyberCash hopes to make online shopping easy. Customers simply enter their credit card details and deposit it in the center (initially with CyberCash, but eventually with a credit card issuing bank) so that customers can shop with credit cards at any internet-enabled online store.
