As the development of English teaching in China, the English teaching in middle schools gets a lot of achievements. But when we are celebrating the fruits, we must be aware of a rigorous problem, which is the current situation of Senior English teaching in rural middle schools in Northwest Sichuan is very alarming. The equipments of English teaching are backward, the teachers’ teaching concepts are out of date, students are conflicting to English study, and the textbook is out of joint with the condition of countryside English teaching. This situation needs imperative improvement; the quality of English teaching in rural middle schools needs be put up. So this essay is going to set out those problems and give some suggestions to solve them.
