2003年12月1日,中华人民共和国国家质量监督检验检疫总局和中华人民 共和国国家认证认可监督管理委员会联合发布对无线局域网产品实施强制性产品认证的公告,任何不符合新标准的WLAN产品不得进口到中国大陆、也不容许在中国境内生产和销售。由于标准涵盖广泛的WLAN产品,包括相关软件和硬件、独立或嵌入式产品,以及涉及到MAC和物理层次的相关技术,因此像德州仪器、英特尔等芯片供应商,像思科这样的WLAN设备供应商和戴尔这样的电脑厂商等都将受到新标准的影响。新标准的颁布和强制性实施引起业界广泛关注,一些美商及相关机构反映空前强烈,从而引发激烈讨论……
