Objective To investigate the effects of increased vestibular stimulation on cardiovascular function during training of short-arm centrifuge. Methods Nine subjects completed the exposure of the short arm of the human body with two rotations of 45 degrees and two rotations without interruption to the head and the left and the right respectively. The level of the foot was 2 Gz for 10 minutes. The changes of blood pressure and heart rate during the experiment were recorded and performed Heart rate variability analysis, at the same time vestibular function evaluation. Results The heart rate, diastolic pressure, heart rate variability low frequency power and low frequency power / high frequency power of the subjects were significantly higher than those before exposure (P <0.05, diastolic pressure, P <0.01) (P <0.05). The diastolic blood pressure increased significantly (P <0.05) and the low frequency power / high frequency power showed an increasing trend compared with the single short arm centrifuge exposure but did not reach Significant level. Conclusions Exposing compound vestibular stimulation to short arm centrifuge can enhance cardiac sympathetic nerve excitability, improve cardiovascular function and improve training effect.
