大容量,低价格的800兆字节磁盘存储器用控制器及转接器已研制成功。通过该控制器——转接器可以实现最多4个DIPS系统对最多32台磁盘的存取操作。为此,利用并行控制使数据传送速度较原有装置提高了近一倍,同时还利用加强状态管理实现了高可靠性的动态交叉调用功能。而为了提高记录密度和大容量磁盘存储器操作的可靠性,采用了允许每道最多有4个缺陷的跳越缺陷功能,并提高了记录信息的检出能力。
High-capacity, low-cost 800-megabyte disk storage controllers and adapters have been developed. This controller-adapter allows up to 4 DIPS systems to access up to 32 disks. To this end, the use of parallel control to make data transfer speed nearly double the original device, but also to strengthen the use of state management to achieve high reliability of dynamic cross-calling function. In order to improve the recording density and the reliability of the operation of the large-capacity disk storage, a skip defect function that allows up to four defects per track is adopted, and the ability to record information is improved.
