文学理论是一门科学。有人否认这一点的原因在于狭隘地理解科学的含义、文学理论自身发展的“科学危机”状态和传统观念的根深蒂固的影响。文学理论的现代性进程就是其科学化进程 ,其现代性形态就是科学化形态 ,现代性必然也只能筑基于科学化之上。文学理论的科学化与人文化是其现代性的两翼 ,单向度地发展其中任何一种都不仅是反科学的而且是反人文的。在文学理论中 ,与人文化相比较 ,科学化是更为基本的因素和条件 ;但科学化的最终目的与归宿却是指向人文化的。
Literary theory is a science. The reason people deny this is that they have a narrow understanding of the implications of science, the “scientific crisis” of the development of literary theory itself, and the deeply rooted influence of traditional concepts. The process of modernity of literary theory is its scientific process. Its modernity is a scientific form, and modernity must only be based on scientificization. The scientific and cultural aspects of literary theory are the two wings of its modernity. Unidirectionally developing any of them is not only anti-scientific but also anti-humanistic. In literary theory, compared with human culture, science is more basic factors and conditions; but the ultimate goal of scientific and fate is to point to the human culture.
