Cambrian trilobites in the Heathotech green belt about 10 km north of Heathcote in central Victoria appear in three different horizons. The lowest level is located in the William Hill metamorphic basalts, this article first reported. According to the trilobites Estaingia cerastes, Olenoides, Pagetides, Marocella and possibly the chest of Megapharanaspis nedini, this band can be used in conjunction with the Faringlands and Pararaia janeae of the Early Cambrian (No. 2) in western New South Wales With contrast. Two layers of the Middle Cambrian (System 3) East Knoxley Formation contain different fauna. The lower one, called the Dinesus band, contains Dinesus ida, Olenoides fergusoni, Poliella sp., Protypus sp., Sudanomocarina sp., Centropleura neglecta. The Dinesus belt is most likely to be compared to the First Discovery Limestone first found in the upper Ordian order of Western New South Wales or to the slightly younger Templetonian fauna of the Georgina Basin in northern Australia. The higher is the Amphoton band of the East Knoxley Formation, containing Baltagnostus australis, Hypagnostus parvifrons, Dorypyge tenella, Amphoton serotinum, Dolicholeptus ansatus, Nepea nans, Penarosa sp., Koptura sp., Syspacephalus sp., Huzhuia cf.typica and Paleonelsonia sp; is initially comparable to the Ptychagnostus punctuosus zone in northwestern Queensland, but may be younger or older than this zone.
