江山市位于浙闽赣三省交界,是浙江省西南门户和钱江源头之一。该市有着悠久而浓厚的体育健身传统,经过多年的努力,群众体育、竞技体育、体育产业都取得均衡协调发展。江山市运动会自1951年开始,至今已举办至第十四届。除此之外,该市还拥有农运会、工运会、干运会、老运会、残运会、学生运动会等6大综合性运动会。2006年以来,该市先后承办国家级赛事5次,省级赛事10次,李永波、张宁、张继科等一批体育明星莅临指导。全市有青少年
