松下公司(Matsushita)利用目前的录放激光存贮系统,研制出世界上第一个能抹象并重新录象的激光唱盘。唱盘的灵敏度很高,可进行实况录象。唱盘的存贮量为十亿信息组(gigabyte),能够抹象录象一百万次,适于图象及计算机存贮。该唱盘比目前的录象装置及金属磁带都先进(见二月版News)。但是现在比较每位存贮价格(cost—per—bit),可携带性以及生产成本还为时过早。松下公司没有公布是否准备生产。
Matsushita used the current recording and laser storage system to develop the world’s first CD-ROM capable of recording and re-recording. High sensitivity of the turntable can be live video. The storage of turntables is one billion gigabytes, capable of wiping a million video recordings, suitable for image and computer storage. The turntable is more advanced than the current video devices and metal tapes (see February edition News). But it is still too early to compare cost-per-bit storage, portability and production costs. Panasonic did not announce whether it is ready for production.
