北京和上海常被人拿来比较,而所有比较的结果得出的结论便是,上海更女人一点,北京更男人一点。可能吧,上世纪的二三十年代,北京正从一个没落王朝的都城向新的起点转变,上海早已在海派文化和国外殖民的浸淫中超脱了出来,类比起当时中国的任何一个城市,上海都显得与众不同,让人神往。也曾经有人比较过中国和外国的古董收藏家,外国人对于艺术品的热爱,使他们更愿意将收集来的宝贝与众人分享,炫富或者其他。而中国人,更愿意藏而不漏,如若不是真正的至交,恐怕不会有任何人知道他到底有些什么。而在我看来,这种东西方的比较,更贴合这两座较了几十年劲的城市。
