1859年4月,洪仁玕由香港辗转到达天京。不久,他向太平天国天王洪秀全进呈了《资政新篇》这个极其重要的系列资政书和其它革命文书,主张“革故鼎新”,建立“新天新地新人新世界”,并在中国近代政治思想史上,首次提出了“与番人并雄”的新思想。在洪仁玕的著作中,“新”字显得十分突出和珍贵。这个新思想集中地表现在他敢于面对先进的西方和落后的中国这一客观现实,大胆地提出了多方面的改革措施,不仅要达到“太平一统江山万万年”,而且还要使中国成为资本主义国家,并与国际社会并立竞存。这个新思想的价值就在于他为当时的中国指明了一个正确的方向,一条正确的道路。中
In April 1859, Hongren was removed from Hong Kong to Tianjing.
