青山悠悠,碧水泱泱,飞瀑流泉,潮风客韵。但凡到过揭西的人,无不赞叹流连。2013年,广东省委书记胡春华视察揭西时提出:“你们坚持走生态发展的路子是对的,要加快发展。”然而,在全省人均GDP不断上升,周边区域争相发展的新时期,揭西仍戴着工业弱县、财政穷县的帽子。揭西人民面临着一个严峻的命题:要保护生态还是要加快发展?这是否是硬币的双面?
