We performed karyotyping and chromosome size comparison of four rice O.aStiva, O.Perennis, O.Punctata and O.officinaIis with three different chromosomal groups. O.satova analysis of the late prophase, pre-metaphase and early metaphase cell chromosomes as the standard. The period is divided by the length of the chromosome, and the relative length and arm ratio of the chromosome are measured in three periods. The results showed that although the chromosome patterns changed with time, the order of chromosome length and the position of centromere were consistent in all periods. However, in each period, each particular chromosome always shows its own unique pattern. So chromosomes can be easily distinguished.
