目的考察电感耦合等离子体质谱技术(ICP-MS)表征铜精矿中天然核素的可行性。方法采用ICP-MS表征铜精矿中~(238)U、~(232)Th、~(226)Ra和~(40)K的含量,以此质量浓度数据代入理论公式算出比活度数据,再将此计算得到的比活度数据与3家不同实验室采用HPGe γ谱仪测量得到的比活度数据进行比对,评价ICP-MS表征铜精矿中天然核素比活度的可行性。结果 ICP-MS表征得到的比活度与HPGe γ谱仪测量得到的比活度相对误差在10%以内。结论采用ICP-MS对铜精矿中天然核素进行表征是可行的,ICP-MS技术可成为相关参考样品定值的方法之一。
Objective To investigate the feasibility of characterizing natural radionuclides in copper concentrates by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Methods The contents of ~ (238) U, ~ (232) Th, ~ (226) Ra and ~ (40) K in copper concentrates were characterized by ICP-MS and the specific activity data were calculated by substituting the mass concentration data into the theoretical formula. Then the calculated specific activity data were compared with the specific activity data measured by HPGe γ spectrometer in three different laboratories to evaluate the feasibility of ICP-MS characterizing the specific activity of natural radionuclides in copper concentrates . Results The relative activity of specific activity measured by ICP-MS and HPGe γ spectrometer was less than 10%. CONCLUSIONS It is feasible to characterize natural radionuclides in copper concentrates by ICP-MS. ICP-MS can be one of the methods for determining the reference samples.
