去年4月6日,著名翻译家李霁野教授在天津开心地度过了他的93岁生日,老人除眼睛患白内障外,身体并没有太大毛病。几十年来,李霁野先生翻译了大量文艺作品,为中国新文艺的发展做出了很大贡献。因此,在他年届90岁的1993年,他还荣获了第五届鲁迅文艺奖。李霁野先后在长达70多年的文艺生涯中,他先后翻译了《简爱》、《四季随笔》、《虎皮武士》、《妙意曲》等大量文艺著作,还创作出版了《回忆鲁迅先生》、《给少男少女》、《乡愁与国瑞》、《唐人绝句启蒙》等著作。
