Objective: To investigate the general and clinical features of adverse drug reaction (ADR) caused by ceftriaxone sodium in order to provide a reference for clinical rational drug use and to reflect the role of pharmacists. Methods: One case of pediatric patients taking ceftriaxone sodium appeared pseudo biliary calculi, pharmacists to assist physicians to determine, deal with the analysis and discussion, and retrieval of ceftriaxone-induced ADR cases since 1989, the classification statistics and analysis. Results: The clinical manifestations of adverse reactions caused by ceftriaxone were the most common anaphylactoid reactions followed by digestive system and circulatory system. Conclusion: Ceftriaxone sodium is a semi-synthetic third-generation cephalosporin with a significant curative effect. However, the reports of adverse reactions are also increasing. Clinicians and pharmacists should pay close attention to the rational use of drugs to reduce and avoid the adverse reactions.
