The development of obstetric ultrasound aids in prenatal diagnosis and has attempted to determine the gestational age using many parameters. In 1920 Streeter reported that the foot length of 576 pathological specimens was related to gestational age and the length from the foot to the first or second fingertip was measured. Usher and Mclean measured in 1969 after the birth of newborn children to maintain the same results. This article attempts to confirm the data of Streeter and Usher. The measurement of postnatal foot length compared with prenatal ultrasound predicted gestational age; and hope to confirm the foot length measurement can be used for multiple pregnancy, diabetic mothers infants, no brain, short limb deformities and other special cases. 224 cases of fetuses were scanned by Siemens real-time electronic scanning and 3.5mHZ linear transducer. Polaroid radiography was used when possible, and foot length was measured longitudinally. The length of fetal limbs was evaluated by linear regression and curve regression Relationship between gestational age. Predict the change of fetal foot length by gestational week by comparing the predictive value of fetal foot length. By statistical system processing, with ± 2 standards
