Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional lymphokine that plays a key role in immune response and immune regulation. This article briefly described the gene structure and function of IL-6, the construction of IL-6 high efficient expression plasmid, and the progress of product purification, activity detection and receptor research.
