首先,我要衷心地感謝党和政府对我的关怀,給了我退休的权利和無微不至的照顧。为了表示我的感激心情和深刻的体会,特向同志們介紹这件从来沒有的事的真像。当我退休的消息傳出后,家乡的亲友們还用旧眼光看新事物,怕我退休后生活成問題,写信表示要接济我。这种思想的根源,主要是在旧社会里这些問題确实使人發愁,他們还不知道我已在党和政府的关心下,搬到了給我安排好的一所精美的公寓里,这样一个安靜而舒适的家是我从来沒有享受过的。不但如此,上海市衛生局还要請我去当顧問,使我在退休期中,还有机会貢献我的一分力量。
