银白色的棉纤维,是胚珠外层珠被的部分表皮细胞向外突起,经受精后伸长、增厚而形成(图1)。每一根棉纤维是一个单细胞,它的壁可分为:外层的初生壁和内层次生壁两部分。我们了解这两层壁的发生时间和壁化学成分变化状况,有助于搞好棉花生产。棉纤维形成过程大致可分为伸长期、增厚期和成熟干枯期。纤维发育的伸长前期(约在开花后第14天之前),它只有一层由果胶质、半纤维素和纤维素组成的初生壁,而构成上述物质的化学成分
Silver-white cotton fibers, which are part of the epidermal cells of the outer layer of the ovule, protrude outwards and grow after fertilization and thicken (Figure 1). Each cotton fiber is a single cell, its wall can be divided into: the outer primary wall and the inner secondary wall in two parts. We understand the occurrence of these two walls and wall chemical composition changes, help to improve cotton production. Cotton fiber formation process can be divided into elongation, thickening and maturity dry period. The early stage of fiber development (about 14 days after flowering), it has only a layer of primary wall composed of pectin, hemicellulose and cellulose, and constitute the chemical composition of the above substances
