垂枝桦亦称加拿大黄桦(Betula pendulaRoth)广泛分布于整个欧洲北部和亚州西部。在英国往往与其它树种混交.西部和南部与橡树混交.在北部和东部与针叶树混交.但在海兰兹一般形成纯林。垂枝桦是散孔材、木材结构整齐细微.是英国木材强度最大的树种之一.基本密度530kg/m~3(Laver.1983).当干燥到含水量12%时每立方米总重量为630kg。仅小于宅旁水青园(690kg)而大于悬铃木(560kg)。垂枝桦木材好.便于加工和处理.
Betula pendula also known as Betula pendulaRoth widely distributed throughout northern Europe and western Asia.
