话剧的现代性是在中国特定的历史和文化境遇中逐步生成的,有时候舞台艺术先行一步,有时候创作发展较快。但是,这些单兵突进式的现代性却很难持久,随时都会变质或坍塌。因为,话剧不仅是一门综合艺术,内部结构复杂,而且有着广阔的社会关联域,牵一发而动全身。所以,只有当演剧走上职业化道路,取得独立的社会身份以后,话剧的现代性才获得了一个坚实的成长平台和必要的社会资源,各方面均衡协调地发展起来,在国家与市场的张力中迅速走向成熟,走向自我,形成了鲜明的市民化、中国化特色。
The modernity of drama is gradually generated in the specific historical and cultural situations in China. Sometimes stage art takes the first step and sometimes it develops rapidly.
