The authors found that some of the sera from patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) interfere with the morphology of macrophages, phagocytosis, and factors that bind to glass slides. These phenomena may be related to IgG, and may have some impact on the immune response of systemic lupus erythematosus, and it has a parallel relationship with the degree of active symptoms. Macrophages are mononuclear phagocytes, and immune response and anti-infective resistance are closely related. Phagocytosis is a major biological activity of macrophages, relatively easy to observe.
