In January 1984, President Reagan claimed that the new goal of the United States space program was to set up a permanent manned space station, which was immediately opposed by scientists. The planned space station weighs 40 tons, carrying 6 to 8 people, each flight time of 6 months, in the space station there is a living room larger than the bedroom apartment room. The space station will be equipped with scientific and industrial laboratories, a satellite repair shop, a telescope binocular for space observation and a telescope gantry for Earth observation, as well as a half-acre solar cell capable of supplying 75 瓩 electricity. This is one of the most daring assumptions NASA made following the Apollo project.
