在一个社会中,有许多岗位没有鲜花、掌声和金钱,然而,恰恰是这样默默无闻的岗位成为支撑我们社会正常运转的基石的组成部分。在鸟语花香、阳光和煦的日子里,我们也许会忽略、甚至漠视这些岗位的存在。但一旦危难出现,我们就会发现,这些岗位的巨大存在价值,坚守这些岗位是需要崇高的精神的。我们的警察,他们虽然不是直接面对非典病魔,但由于他们的坚守,我们才能在非常时期仍然保持正常有序的生活节奏,保持稳定安宁的社会环境。 本期我们采撷了来自北京、广东、内蒙古、山西等四个重点地区的警察在非典袭来时于默默中的一份崇高坚守。他们是全国160万警察的缩影。他们的坚守告诉我们:危难是暂时的,崇高精神是永恒的！
In a society where there are many jobs without flowers, applause and money, it is precisely this obscurity that has become an integral part of the cornerstone of our society’s normal functioning. We may neglect or even disregard the existence of these posts in the beautiful flowers and sunshine. However, once the crisis has arisen, we will find that the great value of these posts lies in the need of maintaining a lofty spirit in these posts. Our policemen, though they are not directly facing the SARS epidemic, but because of their perseverance, we can still maintain a normal and orderly pace of social life in an extraordinary period and maintain a stable and tranquil social environment. In this installment, we have collected some of the lofty promises made by the police in the four key areas of Beijing, Guangdong, Inner Mongolia and Shanxi during the SARS attack. They are the epitome of 1.6 million police across the country. Their persistence tells us: distress is temporary, lofty spirit is eternal!
