一、新材料的提出和试用十多年前,生产“凤凰牌”自行车的我厂为提高模具寿命,先后使用过“钨钴”类硬质合金,用于整形拉伸等模具效果较好,它具有高硬度、耐磨等优点。但由于它的韧性差、脆性大、加工不方便,而不能作为理想的模具材料加以推广,如果说“钨钴”类硬质合金是一种“全硬性”材料,而常用的一般模具钢又是一种“欠硬性”材料的话,那么是否有介于这二者之间的“半硬性”的呢?既具有较高硬度和强度又具有较好韧性,而且还具备可锻、可热处理和可切削加工性能的新型金属材料呢?由上海亚明电焊条厂生产的“碳化钨钢结硬质合金”,牌号为“TLMW50”,就属于这种比较理想的模具新材料,现将几年来我厂使用该材料的情况介绍如下:
