古籍《列子》上有一则寓言《歧路亡羊》。“杨子曰:‘嘻!亡一羊,何追者之众?’邻人曰:‘多歧路。’”我觉得这个寓言倒可以用在自觉从事专业的生涯上。我所追寻的那一只羊就是艺术的创造,然而自觉却分身化作几份人力去分头奔走。究竟值当不值当?看来,这是一个两难的命题。 首先,这对于我是一个教训,一个极实际的战略性的教训。率众以追歧路上的亡羊尚且难获,何况一个人分心用志?即使不象希腊神话中说的那样为神女遗在途中的金苹果所误,但“歧路之中又有歧焉,吾不知所之”,结果仍然不免无获而返。所以《列子》把这个寓言的意旨点明了,它所
