近代中国最早出现的彩票是由菲律宾的西班牙殖民政府发行的吕宋票。从19世纪60年代到1898年间,吕宋票在中国广为流传,民众趋之若鹜,大量的财富外流,清政府几经禁售而收效不大。透过吕宋票我们看到的是一段时代的变迁和屈辱的历史。
The earliest lottery in modern China was a Luzon ticket issued by the Spanish colonial government in the Philippines. During the period from the 1860s to 1898, the Luzon votes were widely circulated in China. Popular people flocked to the city and huge amounts of wealth went out of business. The Qing government did little to stop the sales after it was banned. What we see through the Lu Song ticket is the history of the vicissitudes of history and humiliation.
