云南当代话剧文化的发展与繁荣,大致经历了五个时期——布局时期(1950至1957);发展时期(1958至1965);挫折时期(1966至1976);复苏与繁荣时期(1977至1999);成熟时期(2000至2012)。国防话剧团的消逝与昆明儿童艺术剧团的淡出,使今天的云南话剧舞台,只剩下云南省话剧院这一支队伍,同时也丧失了良性竞争、繁荣发展的重要条件。云南的话剧文化要发展繁荣,迫切需要建设至少两支队伍:一支专心话剧艺术的公益性事业,选贤任能,坚持常年排戏演戏;另一支倾向于琢磨文化市场,不间断地将精彩亮相于戏剧舞台。同时,整合云南省话剧院和云南艺术学院戏剧学院的话剧力量,立足原创剧目,建立云南话剧轮演制度,耐心培养、引导观众,那么不出三年五载,云南的话剧文化空气肯定会为之一变。而方言话剧的扩展与校园戏剧的开拓,则是话剧文化生存与发展的重要策略,至少,也是一个重要的补充。

It is imperative to build at least two teams in Yunnan’s drama culture. One is to devote itself to the public welfare undertakings of drama arts, selecting and employing talents, insisting on the performance of perennial dramas, and the other one intending to ponder the cultural market and keep the wonderful Debut in the theater stage. At the same time, integrating the drama power of the Yunnan Provincial Theater and the Yunnan Academy of Arts Drama Theater, based on the original repertoire, establishing the Yunnan drama rotation system, patiently training and guiding the audience, One of the changes. The expansion of dialect drama and the development of campus drama is an important strategy for the survival and development of drama culture. At least, it is also an important supplement.
