1993年9月22日,铁道部第四勘测设计院和铁道部第一勘测设计院西安分院对西安至南京铁路西安——信阳线段踏勘告捷,并拟订了线路所经地区的初步方案(如附图所示)。西安——南京铁路是国家“九五”期间重点建设项目,它连接京沪、京九、京广、焦枝、陇海等几条铁路干线,是国家11条大铁路干线之一。它穿越苏、皖、豫、鄂、陕等5个省,全长1028km,比沿京沪、陇海线缩短178km。年运输能力7000万吨,日通过客车40对,铁路等级为一级、双线、电气化。这条铁路的修建,将加强中西部与沿海经济地带的联系,加
On September 22, 1993, the Fourth Survey and Design Institute of the Ministry of Railways and the Xi’an Branch of the First Survey and Design Institute of the Ministry of Railways made a successful survey of the Xian-Xinyang line from Xi’an to Nanjing Railway and formulated the preliminary plan for the route area Figure shown). Xi’an - Nanjing Railway is a key construction project during the “Ninth Five-Year Plan” period. It connects several major railway lines such as Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Kowloon, Jingguang, Jiaozhi and Longhai. It is one of the 11 major railway lines in the country. It traverses 5 provinces including Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi. The total length is 1028km, which is 178km shorter than that along the Beijing-Shanghai and Longhai lines. The annual transport capacity of 70 million tons, 40 passenger cars by day, the railway level for the first-class, two-lane, electrification.
