At present, with the rapid development of the socialist market economy in our country, the development of statistical information consulting services lags behind and the competition is fierce. We must strive for survival and development in the fierce competition. This requires great efforts. The following only on the statistical information consulting industry how to “enhance competitiveness, give full play to the advantages of” talk about a few words. First, we must make concerted efforts to fully exploit and utilize information sources, strengthen database construction, and meet the needs of the information market. At present, China’s information market is in the data take-off stage. China has successively set up a macroeconomic database for the national economy, a county library card, a population database, etc., and provided consultation services for the NPC and CPPCC sessions for three times in a row, with a good social response. However, in the information market, the provision of supporting services, the establishment of a systematic and complete information base has not yet been completed. National information and local information, regional information, national macroeconomic and industrial information, corporate information, domestic information and foreign information are not yet complete. The production, development and utilization of information still do not meet the needs of a market economy. There are two problems here: First, there is a lack of an overall plan for the informatization of the national economy in the country. Second, the information service network construction has not yet achieved standardization and standardized management. These two issues require the National Bureau of Statistics to work together with all localities and departments.
