专科英语教育是高等教育的重要组成部分。长期以来,我省专科英语教学缺乏独立的,科学的教学体系。专科英语教学总体来看比较薄弱,教学效果不容乐观。近年来,随着教育改革力度的不断加大,教育部高等教育司颁布了《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》。《基本要求》的颁布为专科英语教学改革指明了方向,标志着专科英语教学开始进人了改革发展的新时期。本文调查了专科学生英语教学的现状、分析了传统专科英语教学中存在的问题,并且思考和探索了英语教学新的模式和方法。
College English education is an important part of higher education. For a long time, the specialty English teaching in our province lacks an independent and scientific teaching system. College English teaching in general is relatively weak, the teaching effect is not optimistic. In recent years, with the continuous reform of education, the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education has promulgated the “Basic Requirements for Teaching English Courses in Higher Vocational Education”. The promulgation of “basic requirements” pointed out the direction for the reform of college English teaching, marking that the teaching of college English has begun to enter a new period of reform and development. This paper investigates the status quo of English teaching for college students, analyzes the existing problems in traditional English teaching, and ponders and explores new modes and methods of English teaching.
