Recently, John Deere (NYSE: DE) became one of the best employers in the United States based on a Forbes magazine survey. In Forbes’ 2016 survey, Deere ranked first among mechanical engineering and manufacturing companies, ranking 19th overall. In 2015, Deere Company ranked 38th overall. The survey is Forbes’ independent research rankings of 500 major companies with more than 5,000 employees. About 30,000 U.S. workers participate in anonymous investigations across all businesses. Forbes said the respondents represented the United States workforce in terms of gender, age, geography, education and ethnicity.
