一次家访中,一位家长向我介绍经验说,为了培养孩子的想像力,他不允许孩子看电视,每当有好的电视节目时,他就让孩子“听”电视。他认为,“听”电视的时候,孩子不得不去想像相应的电视画面,这样也就会发展了孩子的想像力。这位家长的“经验”是不可取的,其做法是极其有害的。首先,对于幼儿来说,丰富的感官刺激是他们所必需的。国外有些心理学家把“足够的蛋白质、丰富的感官刺激、纯真的母爱”作为婴幼儿发展的“三大营养素”,是颇有见地的归纳。因为幼儿的智能还处于萌芽、发展阶段,尚未成熟。为了促使他们心理发展,应该向他们提供足够的感官刺激。只准孩子“听”电视,实质上就是剥夺了孩子部分感官(视觉)刺激的机会,其危害早已为著名的“感官剥夺实验”所证明。其次,从想像的类型上说,需要发展的不限于听觉想像。除此之外,还有视觉想像、运动觉想像等。长期地只准孩子“听”电视,只会造成他们智力上的偏颇。第三,孩子往往能对那些情节生动有趣、色
During a home visit, a parent introduced me to his experience that he did not allow children to watch television in order to develop the child’s imagination. When there was a good television program, he let the children “listen” to the television.
