最近近为了工作上需要曾收集了近三十年来(自1926年起至1957年止)世界各地发现的稀有元素新矿物近300种;现将含锂、铷、铯、铍、锶、铌、钽、钛、锆(铪)、铀、钍、锗及全部稀土元素的稀有元素新矿物共约150种的文献资料初步整理出来,编成表格,供研究稀有金属矿床和矿物及地球化学的同志们参考(其余含钒、钨、钼、硒、碲、铂、钯、钌、铱、锇等的稀有元素新矿物暂未编入) 1957年度发现的稀有元素新矿物,由于部分有关书刊尚未寄到,估计还没有收集完全,其他各年度中也可能有个别遗露,也可能有个别矿物是己经被取消而尚未查觉出来的,由于时间仓促,未能全面复查,缺点与错误,想必不少。近三十年来,克其是在近几年中所发现的稀有元素新矿物,有的是有相当工业价值的,希望能引起我们的注意,因此表中对每一个矿物的主要特征与产状,都比较有重点和全面的说明,并注明文献,便于查阅,同时还摘出主要特征与产状,可作为我们寻找稀有金属矿床与发现稀有元素新矿物的参考和依据
