Objective To investigate the effect of HCV on immune function and viral load in HIV-infected patients and to provide ideas for improving the quality of life of patients and guiding the treatment. Methods A total of 4 HIV infected individuals were divided into 4 groups for 2 years of CD_4 ~ +, CD_8 ~ + T lymphocyte test and HIV viral load test. The results showed that HCV could promote the decrease of CD_4 ~ + T cells and the increase of CD_8 ~ + T cells, while CD_4 ~ + T, CD_8 ~ + T cells and viral load were stable in two years CD_4 ~ + T cells decreased slightly, CD_8 ~ + T cells remained unchanged, HIV-1 infected patients infected with HIV for 14 years or more had extremely low immune level, 3, but CD_8 ~ + T cells ≥800 / mm ~ 3, the level of viral load changed little. CONCLUSIONS: HCV infection has a complicated effect on HIV infection. HCV infection may accelerate the damage of immune function. However, among the HIV-infected persons infected with HIV at an extremely low level of immunity for more than 14 years but in good health, 8 of 10 HCV co-infection, suggesting that our HCV is to promote high levels of CD_8 ~ + T cells in these infected individuals.
