审计失败,是指注册会计师在执行审计业务时发生失误而签发了不适当审计意见.审计失败将可能给报表使用者造成损失,也可能引起法律诉讼.导致审计失败的原因很多,归纳起来,主要有两大方面:一是被审单位的原因,包括会计报表不实和经营失败;二是来自注册会计师的因素,即审计报表不实.发生审计失败,多数情况下总是与企业的管理舞弊和经营失败密切相关,但并非因此而必然发生审计失败,关键是审计人员是否遵循审计准则;此外,审计失败通常总是伴随着审计报告表达不实而来的,因而与审计人员的责任有很大关系.
