目前,在电加工机床中出现了所谓“低耗损电源”。这些“低耗损电源”的特点是脉冲宽度宽,与过去的脉冲宽度窄频率高的电源(脉冲方式)正好相反。实际的线路虽各有不同,但从加工性能来看,与短脉冲方式电源相比较却有如下显著相同的5点: (1)加工间隙较大,在0.1~0.5毫米的范围内。十几年来,电加工机床主要是“短脉冲方式”,间隙在0.01~0.1毫米之内,其粗加工最大间隙也只不过0.15毫米。但是,“低耗损电源”的加工间隙要在0.1毫米之内,如0.01毫米这样微小的加工间隙是很困难的。 (2)“低耗损电源”的加工速度比之性能较好的“短脉冲方式”的电源要慢,每分钟加工量大约是其1/2~1/5,特别是加工表面光洁度在10μHmax以内时,加工速度更低。
