报道了两种Nd:Gd VO4主动调Q被动锁模激光器,利用自锁模(KLM)和半导体可饱和吸收耦合输出镜(SOC)锁模两种不同的被动锁模方式,分别与电光(EO)主动调Q元件相结合,获得了稳定的调Q锁模脉冲。主动调Q自锁模脉冲调Q包络重复频率为3 k Hz,包络脉宽约1.2μs,包络下锁模脉冲重复频率为159 MHz,锁模脉宽约963 ps。主动调Q SOC锁模脉冲调Q包络重复频率为10 k Hz,包络脉宽约300 ns,包络下锁模脉冲重复频率为159 MHz,锁模脉宽约491 ps。分别提出了自锁模等效快饱和吸收体损耗和SOC的非线性损耗表达式,并给出了主动调Q自锁模激光器和主动调Q SOC锁模激光器的速率方程组。对比了两种主动调Q被动锁模激光器的输出特性,结合速率方程,提出了主动调Q SOC锁模受到两种锁模方式的叠加作用。
Two kinds of Nd: Gd VO4 active Q-switched passive mode-locked lasers are reported. Two different modes of passive mode-locking using self-locking mode (KLM) and semiconductor saturable absorption coupled output mirror (SOC) ) Active Q-switching element combined to obtain a stable Q-switched mode-locked pulse. The active Q-switched self-mode-locked Q-switched Q-envelope repetition frequency is 3 kHz, the envelope pulse width is about 1.2μs, the mode-locked pulse repetition frequency is 159 MHz and the mode-locked pulse width is about 963 ps. The active Q-switched mode-locked pulse Q-switched envelope repetition rate is 10 k Hz, the envelope pulse width is about 300 ns, the mode-locked mode pulse repetition frequency is 159 MHz and the mode-locked pulse width is about 491 ps. The nonlinear loss equations of equivalent fast saturated absorber loss and SOC are presented respectively. The rate equations of active Q-switched self-mode-locked laser and active Q-switched QCM mode-locked laser are given respectively. Comparing the output characteristics of two active Q-switched mode-locked lasers, this paper presents a superposition effect of the two mode-locked modes by active Q-switched QCM.
