此专题是从摄影家惠怀杰先生从日本购得的一本保存完好的摄影册《大东亚战争报道写真录》选出的,这本摄影册是由日本读卖新闻发行的。图册主要内容是日本二战期间在亚洲(中国)取得的所谓“战果”。在纪念世界反法西斯战争胜利和中国人民抗日战争胜利70周年的日子里刊登这些图片,有着非常的意义。这本图册附言,“这些照片是支那战争以来,读卖新闻特派员在前线拍摄的照片,有生死大战时的,有从士兵相机里取出来的等等,均是极为宝贵的照片。这些照片是一张一张洗出来的原版照片,不是翻拍片,更不是印刷照片,仅有200套,有收藏价值。”从这些照片中,我们得到很多启示:重要的史证价值,摄影者的记录意识,照片洗印的原版价值,限量的稀有性和对照片的保护及收藏。由于原说明文字主要赞颂日军的战果和美化侵略,具有较强的鼓动性和欺骗性,编者在不损害原说明的前提下对个别文字做了修改,如“帝国”“皇军”改为日军等,便于表述。但为了原说明的完整性改动不大,请读者自觉对原画册编者图注语言进行甄别。
