在新的历史条件下,在全面建设社会主义和谐社会的过程中,思想政治工作是在我党优良传统,必须与时俱进,坚持下去,有了强大的思想做基础,才能让各行各业平稳发展,为其提供强大的精神动力和思想保证。但是这些都得益于思想政治工作者自身的自我修养的提高。政治思想工作者的工作是能够触及人类灵魂的,是政治工作的先锋,为社会发展提供精神动力,社会现代化建设需要这样的动力,历史使命需要支持,思想政治工作者自身建设的加强,自我修养的提高,为加强和改进思想政治工作的质量提供前提。因此,政治工作者必须要在自律方面要有一定的高度,不断通过学习提高自己,用高要求来适应新时期工作的需求。
