The thought process and behavior of the people involved with product development are influenced by the behavioral characteristics and culture of the country they belong to,as well as their race,since the interest in R&D is also a part of human behavior.The analysis of product development processes used in the recent past is useful not only for the understanding of the influence of human behavior on products developed in the past but also for future product development.This paper discusses the effects of behavioral characteristics on product development in Japan as compared to those in the United States regarding VTRs and computer memories.
