矿物鉴定以往主要靠显微镜下观察,并配合化学和光谱分析等来确定矿物名称。但因自然界矿物成分十分复杂,经常遇到一些细小微量矿物,颗粒小、镜下难辨认,含量很底,挑选不出足够光谱和化学分析的样品,这一直是个难题。随着科研工作的深入发展,为满足鉴定细小疑难矿物的需要,我们在《鞍钢宪法》及“独立自主,自力更生”精神鼓舞下,于一九七三年底开始试制激光光谱分析仪,经十个月的努力,已初步获得成功。
