支持服务是远程学习中的核心问题之一。对于学生而言,一般表现在两方面:一是教学,指面授辅导、多媒体教学资源及设施的提供、平时成绩的管理等,这是外在的(显性)支持服务;另一是指对学生的学习态度、目的、方法的}旨导和帮助,以及心理和精神层面的关怀,这是潜在的(隐性)支持服务。文中介绍了台湾空中大学的做法及他们严格的质量保证,与大陆广播电视大学有很多相似之处。作者作了简要比较,并引发几点思考。
Support services are one of the core issues in distance learning. For students, they usually show in two aspects: one is instruction, the other is instructional support, the provision of multi-media teaching resources and facilities, the management of peacetime performance and so on, which are extrinsic (explicit) support services; Students’ learning attitudes, goals, methods} mentoring and assistance, as well as psychological and spiritual concerns, are potential (hidden) support services. The article introduced the practice of Taiwan’s Air University and their strict quality assurance, which have many similarities with the mainland radio and television universities. The author made a brief comparison and triggered a few reflections.
