本文回顾了用于脉冲雷达发射机的六种基本型式的大功率正交场放大管。可以看出,具有最简单的调制器的正交场放大管到现在为止在整机中是用得最少的。这是因为有许多其它因素决定了对正交场放大管的选用。这些因素是:打火对整机运用的影响,稳定高压电源的方法,以及在长脉冲情况下限制脉冲顶降的方法。通常阴极调制的正交场放大管是比较受欢迎的,因为它所采用的调制器能较好地解决上述问题。直流运用的正交场放大管(控制极调制或自调制)只有在它能提供阴极调制的正交场放大管所不具有的工作特性时才会得到应用。文中给出了支持上述观点的一些实例的历史情况。
This article reviews six basic types of high power quadrature field-amplifier tubes for pulse radar transmitters. It can be seen that the orthogonal field amplifier with the simplest modulator has by far been the least used in the complete machine. This is because there are many other factors that determine the selection of quadrature field amplifiers. These factors are: the impact of sparking on the whole machine, the method of stabilizing the high-voltage power supply, and the method of limiting the pulse drop in the case of long pulses. Cathode modulation is usually cathode field amplifier is more popular, because it uses the modulator can better solve the above problems. The use of a DC field-fed orthogonal field-tube amplifier (PAD or self-modulation) is only applicable if it provides the operating characteristics that are not available with cathode-modulated quadrature field-effect amplifiers. The article gives some historical facts supporting some of the above points.
