生态文学是当前文学研究的一项重要领域,多以19、20世纪的经典作品为分析文本,对20世纪反映当代生态问题、有待时间考验经典性的作品则显得缺乏关注。英国作家J.R.R.托尔金的作品具有众多符合当代生态思想的主题,因其通俗小说的身份长期遭遇学术研究的边缘化。在托尔金作品特有的当代影响力之下,研究其生态主题具有明晰的现实意义。
Ecological literature is an important field of current literature research. Most of the works are based on the classic works of the 19th and 20th centuries for analyzing the texts. However, there is a lack of concern about the classic works that reflect the contemporary ecological problems in the 20th century. British writer J.R.R. Tolkien’s works have many topics that are in line with contemporary ecological thinking because of the long-standing academic research marginalization of his popular novels. Under the unique contemporary influence of Tolkien’s works, it has a clear realistic significance to study its ecological theme.
