从中国经济发展的大趋势着眼，动态地将中国划分出三大区域带：珠江商贸带、长江产业带和黄河经济带。同时指出：建设黄河经济带是２１世纪中国国民经济建设北移西进的必由之路，而搞好黄河经济带可持续发展战略研究与关键技术的研制，则是搞好黄河经济带建设的必然选择。
Focusing on the general trend of China’s economic development, China has dynamically divided three major regions: the Pearl River Trade Zone, the Yangtze River Industrial Belt and the Yellow River Economic Belt. At the same time, it is pointed out that the construction of the Yellow River Economic Belt is the only way for China’s national economy to move northward and westward in the 21st century. To develop the strategic research and key technologies for the sustainable development of the Yellow River economic belt is an inevitable choice for the construction of the Yellow River economic belt.
