In this paper, the heat treatment characteristics of P6M5 steel with 5% TiC produced by powder metallurgy method are studied. Using P6M5 steel scrap and titanium carbide powder as raw materials, they were pulverized together in a mill to obtain a mixture completely passing through a sieve having a mesh size of 80 μm. The mixture was placed in a stamper and pressed at a pressure of 700 MPa, and the sample was sintered at 1250 ° C under vacuum. The sintered samples were forged into a pore-free state and heat-treated in a conventional salt bath.
