中国戏剧梅花奖自1983年创办以来,迄今已是第十届了。按照中国的传统习惯,逢“十”都是很重视的。因此,今年的梅花奖评选工作显得格外严肃认真。为了加强对评选工作的领导,经上级批准,成立了梅花奖评选组委会。(成员见组委会名单) 4月25日是星期天,组委会成员放弃休息赶到剧协开会。委员们认真研究了历届、特别是第九届梅花奖的经验教训,提出了改进意见。会议的主要内容是: 一、关于获奖演员的名额问题。此次评选,拟定评出戏曲演员15名、话剧演员5名、歌剧演员2名。可缺额、空额,不得超额。二、进一步明确评选程序。本届评选的程序是:
