为解决金属矿山二次破碎问题,我们进行了电力破矿的研究。采用11种不同频率的电源装置,对29个矿山的726块矿岩大块(块度0.9~2.1米,多数为1米)进行的破碎试验表明:电力破矿设备具有工作方式合理,能量转换方便,效率高,工作安全(无冲击波、飞石、噪音、粉尘),能源广泛且传输方便,成本低廉等一系列特点;各类设备对各类矿石的适应性也不相同;坚硬致密、热应力显著的鞍山式铁矿床的主要矿石,用电力破矿的技术经济效果优越;
